Directions
We're coming over on 8th August. We've never been to Sweet soul before. Been going to Grafton House (ELSC) in Lincoln since it started, also Naval Club in Lincoln. We don't know where Sweet Soul is and there's no telephone number on the site. Help!!!

Modern Debate
I agree with you Andy the more variety of records the better, surely its god to hear someting different - would you go and see the same film film month after month ? See you on the dance floor tomorrow night ? I'll be there dancin to the modern and the oldies (and the Motown -sorry Doug)

Modern or not?
There is definately a case to be heard for the Modern side of Sweet Soul. The problem is what is played at Sweet Soul in no way reflects the Modern scene. The songs that are played that, it seems, some people think are modern just aren't the same 100 records that you can hear everywhere in the country on every weekend. Surely the greater the variety the better the experience?

Low attendance?
Once again we notice that the attendance was low on Friday night ? It does'nt seem to mattr who the guest dj is either. Is it because of the modern or just the floor, thing is are people prepared to listen to something new or is the venue going to die ?! Already we have another event starting on a Sunday night lets see what happens

the big question is , will Duggie and Jacko try and attract people back
next month by using the "promotoinal technique" employed by Barry Cooper
at Grantham on saturday night. To find out be at sweet soul , staythorpe
